are used to keep a product above a pump inlet and at a constant level. They are very common and vital to the pasteurization process for dairy farms and other beverage HTST loops. It is equipped with a float valve assembly that is able to maintain an almost constant liquid level which allows a steady and even head pressure on the liquid or product that is coming out of the tank. The balance tank will also help to maintain higher pressure levels on the pasteurized side of the heat exchanger and prevents air from having access to the pasteurizer.
